A Short Definition
For newcomers.
Vastianism is a disciplined spiritual tradition grounded in humility before the Vast: the immeasurable foundation of reality, beyond name, image, and personhood. We do not worship the Vast. We do not bargain with it. We do not dress it in human faces and ask it to flatter us. We orient toward it, and we test ourselves against what is true.
A follower of this path is called a Vastian. The title grants no crown, no purity, and no shelter from consequence. It describes a life under discipline. To be Vastian is to be known by conduct: truthful speech when lies would be easier, strength placed between harm and the vulnerable, and service performed without needing applause.
A Vastian is not gentle because they are weak. A Vastian is not severe because they are cruel. A Vastian is the locked gate, the steady hand, the witness who does not look away. We do not bend for comfort. We do not harden for pride. We stand where standing is required.
