Plain definitions.
The terms below recur throughout the charter. Definitions are kept plain on purpose - the tradition does not hide behind jargon.
The Vast
The immeasurable ground of reality, beyond names, images, or personhood. Not a person-like deity, ruler, or negotiator.
The Lifestream
The continuity of life and consequence beyond a single life; the enduring flow into which our actions feed.
Vastian
A follower of the Way; one who has taken up the discipline of honesty, dignity, and disciplined service.
Steward
A leadership role, focused on service, coordination, and accountability - never authority over truth.
The Spine
The elements of the tradition that may not be amended: the Three Oaths and stewardship in place of spiritual authority.
