Conduct

The standard we hold ourselves to inside this tradition.

Vastianism is a moral discipline. The standard below is internal: it is how we conduct ourselves with one another, and the line we hold against drift. We are not a helpline, a charity, or a regulator. We are a tradition that treats accountability as bone, not ornament.

DOCTRINE

We do not forgive in ways that endanger others.

The Non-Negotiables

  • Secrecy used to conceal harm is a moral failure.
  • Confession does not replace accountability.
  • Authority is stewardship, not entitlement. Status never overrides standards.
  • Any Vastian may question leadership without penalty.
  • A culture that punishes honest departure has declared that it values control more than truth.

Forfeiting Standing

To preserve a culture of dignity, certain conduct forfeits standing in this tradition: harassment, exploitation, the use of authority language to coerce or manipulate, and certainty theatre deployed to pressure decisions or silence dissent. None of these are tolerated, and none are made invisible to protect a reputation.

Repair may be possible for the person who causes harm; that repair is separate from access. A person may walk a long road of accountability without ever again being permitted into a role where harm could be repeated.

Where to Take a Real Concern

If something has happened that needs intervention - in the wider world, not just inside Vastian spaces - go to the people equipped to handle it. Contact local emergency services if anyone is in immediate danger. Use the statutory authorities and professional services in your jurisdiction for everything else. We are not a substitute for medical, legal, or mental-health care, and we are not an investigative body.
